Pain pain pain

I know where you’ve been, I know what you’ve done
I know who you’ve seen, I just hope you had some fun
Please don’t tell me more lies, you know I want to believe
That’s probably why I can’t tell you to leave

Even though, I can see
That deep down you’re laughing at me
In your eyes, in your face, I can read, I can taste
The joy you get from playing with me

You just give me pain
Pain, pain, pain
Again and again
I keep coming back for pain

You know who I am, you know I stay blind
You know how to convince me that everything is fine
You know I can be scared just to be afraid
That’s probably why of me a puppet you have made

Even though, you sure know
I can’t live when you’re not around
What drives you to hurt me? What do you have to hate me
Why do you need to keep putting me down?

‘Cause you just give me pain
Pain, pain, pain
Again and again
I keep coming back for pain

I can't take this anymore, no no no no
I don't want this anymore...

Even though, I can see
That deep down you're laughing at me
In your eyes, in you face, I can read, I can taste
The joy you get from playing with me

You just give me pain
Pain, pain, pain
Again and again
I keep coming back for pain
Pain, pain, pain
Again and again
Pain, pain, pain
I keep coming back for pain

This song is for Luxy.

Once at work, Pat walked into conversation between two co-workers. One of them looked real down so he asked him if he was alright. Evidently he needed to vent. Girlfriend situation. What he told Pat inspired this song. This is why it is dedicated to Luxy.

The melody and especially the lyrics for this one came fast and easy, surprising since they’re far from being a direct transcript of their conversation. Sometimes an author gets lucky.

A few days later, Luxy told Pat he had somehow realized everything was just a big misunderstanding...The song was already written and it made a good story so it remained the way it was written.
